THE OFFENDERS - Shots Screams & Broken Dreams: The Offenders are often considered a 2-Tone revivalist band and I'd somewhat go along with that tag but I think they're also influenced by the third generation ska scene. However they're a pretty cool band and this thirteen track offering on Redstar73 is a pretty cool listen. However I reckon they'd be a force to be reckoned with if they dropped the organ and replaced it with a full brass section. Still I'm enjoying what I'm hearing here and I'm sure you will too! It's good to see a band write about every day life. Check out 'Hate 88' an Anti-Fascist number. There's other cool numbers such as 'Blood And Family', 'Your Call' and 'Never Welcome'. Yep I'm sure 'Shots Screams & Broken Dreams' will get you up skankin' so do yourselves a favour and check the Offenders out! 9/10
